Twitterive Prologue
My Twitterive project ended up being about two places that I love - my home in New Jersey and my soon-to-be new life in California. The major themes that came about during the project focused on growing up, moving on, and moving (physically). I talk about what I connect to in both New Jersey and California. I explain my reasons for wanting to move out to California and wanting to leave everything I have in New Jersey. I use many different genres to do so, especially photos. I am a visual person and these pictures really portray how I feel about these topics. Other than photos, I used narrative, poetry, song quotes and a speech.
I was inspired by the following tweets I made on my Twitter account during this semester. I realized how many times I complained about the snow and cold weather, and that theme seemed to dominate my tweets. I started thinking about what would make me happy, which brought me to California. I looked through pictures of my trips to California, and also pictures of good times here in New Jersey. This is how I made the connection to both places.
